 Old Tavern Farm Winery 

Old Tavern was established in 2016, and was founded on the former site of Palmer’s Maple Shade Farm in Saratoga Springs.  The name comes from the 1800’s tavern that once stood on the property.  This unique establishment is home to a boutique thoroughbred-breeding farm as well as a true New York State farm distillery.  It also has many great wine options that are crafted from their own vineyard.  They even have their own portable wine bar that will come to you!  https://oldtavernfarms.com/pages/barrel-bar.  Whether you are looking to purchase some wine, spirits or even flowers, this is a great place!

Keuka Spring Vineyards

This winery, based in the Finger Lakes Region, has opened a new bottle shop and wine tasting room in downtown Saratoga Springs.  Located in the downtown area, near Saratoga Marketplace on Broadway it offers tastings for shoppers seven days a week.  The business will also have a presence at Saratoga Race Course beginning in 2025.

Day 1

Check in to your hotel, The Saratoga Arms, located within walking distance of Saratoga Golf Club and one mile from the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. After getting settled into your room, head to the Saratoga Race Course for an exciting day at the races. The 2025 racing season runs from July 10th to September 1st, with races typically held Wednesday through Sunday.

In the evening, visit the Saratoga Winery for a relaxing wine tasting experience. Then catch a performance at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), an open-air amphitheater located inside the beautiful Saratoga State Park or stop at Caffè Lena on Phila Street, the oldest continuous coffee house in America where new folk musicians are scheduled almost every evening. 

Day 2

On Sunday, start your day with the hotel’s gourmet farm to table breakfast and count your blessings as you sip coffee on the beautiful wrap-around front porch.

Next, take a short drive to Old Friends at Cabin Creek, a Thoroughbred retirement farm where you can meet and feed retired race horses. This unique experience provides an intimate look at the lives of former racing champions. End your weekend with a relaxing mineral bath at the historic Roosevelt Baths in Saratoga Spa State Park, a perfect way to unwind and experience the city’s famous mineral springs.
